   Product Introduction:

  KG Rubber Liquid Membrane is a highly efficient, environmentally friendly waterproof coating primarily composed of water-based emulsion and emulsified asphalt. The product comes in a single-component formulation, requiring only gentle stirring after opening before application—making it convenient and quick to install. This product can be applied to both damp and dry substrates, featuring strong adhesion and high elongation. After curing, the coating forms a seamless, elastic, monolithic waterproof layer on the substrate, providing a skin-like waterproof barrier effect. It also dries rapidly and can be used in combination with other waterproof membranes to create composite waterproofing systems. The coating achieves a seamless bond with the substrate, preventing water migration and effectively meeting the waterproofing requirements of objects with complex shapes and irregular structures.

   Construction Key Points

  1. Substrate Preparation: The substrate surface shall be smooth, solid, clean, free of sharp edges, free of oil stains, free of standing water, and free of cracks.

  2. Detailed treatment: In the recessed grooves, embed sealing material (Quick Leak-Stop King) according to design requirements. Before construction, pre-treat the internal and external corners and pipe roots into rounded or obtuse angles, cover them with mesh fabric, and apply multiple coats.

  3. Large-area application: First, thoroughly wet the substrate until it is saturated but free of standing water. Then, use a brush to apply the waterproof coating onto the prepared substrate. Allow at least 2–4 hours between applications before proceeding to the next step. The direction of each subsequent coat should be perpendicular (at a 90° angle) to the previous coat, ensuring complete and uniform coverage.

  4. Water-tightness test: After the coating has completely dried and hardened (estimated 3–5 days), block the drain opening and fill the area with water. The water depth should be no less than 20 mm, and the water should be retained for 24 hours. The test is considered合格 (pass) if there is no noticeable drop in the water level.

   Precautions

  1. Material Storage: Strictly prohibit exposure to high temperatures and direct sunlight. If the container lid is opened, seal it tightly immediately after use. The storage environment temperature should not be lower than 5℃.

  2. If there is sediment, it will not affect the quality; simply stir well and it’s ready for normal use.

  3. When the coating is too thick, a film forms on the surface, inhibiting the evaporation of internal moisture. It is advisable to apply thin coats in multiple layers.

  4. The drying time of the coating is affected by the coating thickness and weather conditions; adjustments should be made according to the on-site environment.

   Reference dosage

  When the waterproof coating film thickness is 1 mm, the consumption rate is approximately 1.5–2.2 kg/㎡.
